AGS-30

The AGS-30 Atlant is a Russian 30x29mm automatic grenade launcher designed as a significantly lighter successor to the AGS-17 Plamya. Weighing approximately 16 kg, it is less than half the weight of its predecessor and can be carried and operated by a single soldier with a tripod, representing a major improvement in infantry portability. It uses the same 30x29mm belt-fed grenade ammunition as the AGS-17 and employs a blowback-operated action with a distinctive helical groove in the chamber to reduce bolt thrust. The AGS-30 is widely used by Russian infantry, special forces, and has been exported to numerous allied nations.
