Springfield Hellcat

The Springfield Hellcat is a polymer-framed, striker-fired micro-compact semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum. Introduced in 2019 and manufactured by HS Produkt in Croatia for Springfield Armory, it was designed for concealed carry and personal defense. Its primary innovation is class-leading magazine capacity in a very small package: 11+1 rounds flush and 13+1 with the extended magazine, later expanded to 15+1 in the Hellcat Pro. The pistol features Springfield’s Adaptive Grip Texture, a reversible magazine release, and a flat-faced trigger with an integrated safety blade. Standard sights are a tritium front with luminescent ring and a Tactical Rack U-Dot rear; OSP variants are optics-ready. The Hellcat is renowned for its reliability, shootability, and capacity, though its light weight and short barrel produce noticeable recoil. It has become a popular choice for civilian concealed carry and law enforcement backup/off-duty use, competing directly with the SIG P365, Glock 43X, and Smith & Wesson Shield Plus. Its design emphasizes deep concealment without sacrificing firepower, making it a significant entry in the modern micro-compact 9mm market.
