Johnson M1941 Rifle

The Johnson M1941 Rifle is a semi-automatic rifle designed by Melvin Johnson and produced by Johnson Automatics from 1941 to 1945. It uses a unique short-recoil operating system with a rotating bolt that was a departure from the gas-operated M1 Garand. The Johnson rifle was fed from a 10-round rotary magazine that could be loaded from the top with stripper clips. It was adopted by the United States Marine Corps and the Dutch East Indies Army. The Johnson rifle is known for its excellent accuracy and distinctive appearance.
