Henry 1860

The Henry 1860 is the original lever-action rifle designed by Benjamin Tyler Henry and manufactured by the New Haven Arms Company. It was the first practical repeating rifle using the revolutionary .44 Henry rimfire cartridge with a 16-round tubular magazine. The Henry rifle gave Union soldiers unprecedented firepower during the Civil War and became an icon of American firearms design.
