
The Daewoo K1A is a compact assault carbine developed by Daewoo Precision Industries for the Republic of Korea Armed Forces. It was introduced in 1984 as a shorter variant of the K2 rifle, chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO. The K1A features a 263mm (10.35 inch) barrel, a retractable wire stock, and a unique triangular flash hider. It was designed for armored vehicle crews, special forces, and close quarters operations. The K1A is one of the primary carbines of the South Korean military and remains in frontline service today.
