Colt Diamondback

The Colt Diamondback is a double-action revolver manufactured by Colt's Manufacturing Company from 1966 to 1988. It was built on Colt's D-frame, the same frame used for the Detective Special, and was offered in .38 Special and .22 Long Rifle. The Diamondback features a heavy barrel with a full-length underlug, ventilated rib, and adjustable rear target sights, giving it a distinctive appearance reminiscent of the Python. Its smooth action and excellent accuracy made it popular as a target and personal defense revolver. It is widely known as the Poor Man's Python due to its similar styling at a lower price point.
