The Winchester Model 1893 was the first pump-action shotgun produced by Winchester Repeating Arms, designed by John Moses Browning. It featured a solid-top receiver and a tubular magazine, but was designed for black powder shells. The Model 1893 was produced for only four years before being superseded by the improved Model 1897.
