The Steyr SSG 69 (Scharfschützengewehr 69 — 'Marksman Rifle 69') is a bolt-action sniper rifle manufactured by Steyr Mannlicher of Austria. Adopted by the Austrian Army in 1969, it set new standards for accuracy and was the primary sniper rifle for many NATO countries.
