Overview

The Star Z-84 is a submachine gun designed and manufactured by Star Bonifacio Echeverria of Spain. It was introduced in 1984 as a compact, lightweight personal defense weapon. The Z-84 uses a blowback-operated action with a telescoping bolt design that allows for a compact overall length. The receiver is made from stamped steel with a synthetic handguard and pistol grip. The weapon is chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum and feeds from a 30-round detachable box magazine. The Z-84 features a folding stock and a forward grip for improved control. It was designed for military and law enforcement use as an alternative to larger assault rifles.
