Overview
The SITES Spectre M4 is a compact blowback-operated submachine gun developed by SITES of Turin, Italy, in the 1980s. It features a unique clamshell opening design that allows the entire receiver to be opened for cleaning, and a four-fire selector including safe, semi-auto, three-round burst, and full auto. The Spectre M4 has a 30-round four-column magazine that is wider than standard SMG magazines but shorter for better prone shooting. It was designed for military and law enforcement special operations. The Spectre M4 was one of the most innovative submachine gun designs of the 1980s.
