Ruger Gunsite Scout

The Ruger Gunsite Scout is a bolt-action rifle introduced in 2011, designed to the principles of the Scout Rifle concept promoted by Jeff Cooper. Chambered in .308 Winchester and later .223 Remington and 6.5 Creedmoor, it features a 16.5-inch barrel, a forward-mounted Picatinny rail for Scout-style scope mounting, and a laminated or synthetic stock. The rifle uses a Mauser-style controlled round feed action with a three-position safety. Its compact size, quick handling, and forward optic mount make it ideal for practical rifle applications. The Gunsite Scout was developed in collaboration with Gunsite Training Center in Arizona.
