Overview
The M24 SWS (Sniper Weapon System) is the U.S. Army's standard bolt-action sniper rifle. Based on the Remington 700 action and chambered in .308 Winchester (7.62×51mm NATO), it served as the primary American sniper rifle from 1988 through the 2010s.
