The Colt Model 1902 is a semi-automatic pistol designed by John Moses Browning and manufactured by Colt. It was an evolution of the Colt Model 1900 and was produced in two variants: the Sporting Model and the Military Model. The Model 1902 was chambered in .38 ACP (later .38 Super) and featured a slide serrated at the rear. It introduced several improvements over the Model 1900, including a more reliable extractor and revised barrel bushing. The pistol was used by the US military in limited numbers during the Philippine-American War and World War I.

The AMT Hardballer is a stainless-steel, single-action semi-automatic pistol based closely on the John M. Browning-designed M1911A1. Introduced by Arcadia Machine & Tool (AMT) in the late 1970s, it was marketed primarily to civilian shooters, competitive handgunners, and outdoorsmen who wanted a corrosion-resistant 1911-pattern pistol at a time when factory stainless 1911s were rare. The Hardballer retained the proven short-recoil, locked-breech, tilting-barrel mechanism and single-action trigger of the Government Model, but substituted stainless steel for the traditional carbon-steel frame and slide. Standard models used a 5-inch barrel and adjustable sights, while the Longslide variant used a 7-inch barrel for increased sight radius and velocity. The model is best known for its association with the 1984 film The Terminator, in which a laser-equipped .45 Longslide appears. In the firearms community, the Hardballer is regarded as an early and influential stainless 1911 clone, though AMT’s reputation is tempered by inconsistent quality control, parts interchangeability issues, and occasional galling or reliability problems. It remains a collectible example of 1980s American 1911 innovation.
