Overview

The Benelli M3 Super 90 is a versatile Italian 12-gauge combat shotgun that uniquely combines semi-automatic and pump-action operation in a single platform, selectable by the operator via a rotating ring on the barrel. This hybrid design allows users to choose semi-automatic mode for rapid follow-up shots with full-power ammunition or pump-action mode for reliably cycling less-lethal rounds and low-recoil shells that would not generate enough gas pressure for semi-automatic cycling. The M3 features Benelli's proven inertia-driven operating system in semi-auto mode and a conventional sliding forearm for pump action, a combination that makes it one of the most flexible tactical shotguns available. It is used by military and law enforcement units worldwide, including Italian special forces and numerous police tactical teams.
