Overview

The AMR-2 is a bolt-action anti-materiel rifle developed and manufactured by China's Norinco corporation. Chambered for the 12.7x108mm cartridge, the standard heavy machine gun round of Russian and Chinese forces, it provides infantry units with a lightweight and portable means of engaging material targets such as light vehicles, communications equipment, and unexploded ordnance. The rifle features a bullpup layout to reduce overall length, a free-floated heavy barrel for accuracy, and an effective muzzle brake to control the recoil of the large cartridge. The AMR-2 has been exported to several nations and serves alongside the semi-automatic QBU-10 in Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) units.
