The Schwarzlose MG M.07/12 is a medium machine gun designed by Andreas Schwarzlose. It uses a unique delayed blowback action instead of the recoil or gas operation used by most other machine guns. The gun is chambered in 8x57mm Mauser and uses a water-cooled barrel. It served as the standard machine gun of the Austro-Hungarian military during World War I. The Schwarzlose was also widely used by Italy and other European nations.
