Ross Rifle Company

The Ross Rifle is a Canadian straight-pull bolt-action rifle designed by Sir Charles Ross. It was adopted by the Canadian military in 1905 and served as Canada's primary service rifle during the early years of World War I. The Ross features a distinctive straight-pull bolt action that allows very fast cycling, but it earned a controversial reputation for reliability issues in trench conditions.
