Leopold Gasser

The Gasser M1870 is a service revolver designed and manufactured by Leopold Gasser of Austria. It was chambered in 11mm Gasser, a powerful black powder cartridge. The revolver features a solid frame with a side-loading gate and a one-piece walnut grip. It served as the standard sidearm of the Austro-Hungarian military for nearly three decades. The M1870 is notable for its large caliber and distinctive cylindrical barrel shroud.
