The M1919A6 was an American lightened variant of the M1919A4 Browning machine gun, developed during World War II for mobile infantry use. It featured a bipod, a shoulder stock, and a lighter barrel to serve as a squad automatic weapon. The weapon was an attempt to create a more portable machine gun without developing an entirely new design.
