Forjas Taurus, Taurus International

The Taurus Model 92 is a semi-automatic pistol that is a licensed variant of the Beretta 92 design. Taurus acquired the machinery and tooling from Beretta to produce the pistol in Brazil. The Model 92 features an open-top slide design, a frame-mounted safety, and a 15-round double-stack magazine. It fires the 9x19mm Parabellum cartridge and uses a delayed blowback locking system. The model 92 differs from the Beretta 92 in having a frame-mounted safety instead of a slide-mounted one.
