The Tower Musket was a British smoothbore flintlock musket produced under Tower of London inspection. These muskets armed the British East India Company's armies. The Tower Musket was the primary arm of British naval landing parties during the Age of Sail.
The Jezail is a traditional long-barreled flintlock musket used throughout Afghanistan, the Punjab, and Central Asia from the 18th through the 19th centuries. It typically featured a distinctive curved stock, a very long barrel, and was frequently larger in caliber than European military muskets. The Jezail became legendary as the weapon of Afghan tribesmen who fought against British imperial forces.
